Gender legal expertise - analysis of regulatory documents and their projects for compliance with the principles of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
Direct gender discrimination is any discrimination, in the form of an exception or limitation, aimed at non-recognition of the rights and freedoms of women and men in all spheres of life and activities of society, including discrimination on the basis of marital status, pregnancy, family obligations, as well as sexual harassment, payments of various wages for equal work and qualifications.
Tasks of gender legal expertise:
- identification of objective facts related to the regulatory framework in the field of gender and ensuring the validity and reliability of decisions;
- analysis and assessment of the possible implications of the adoption of draft laws in terms of respect for human rights and gender equality, as well as guarantees and enforcement mechanisms;
- prevention of the negative impact of normative legal acts and provisions of their projects on the principles of gender equality;
- development of proposals for improving legislation in the field of gender equality;
- clarification of issues requiring special knowledge in the field of gender and legal expertise.
