Autumn holidays for students of general education schools in Uzbekistan begin on November 4 and last for 6 calendar days. In 2026, students will have a break from November 4 through November 9, while classes will resume on November 10.
The duration of school holidays during the academic year is clearly defined by legislation.
Autumn holidays begin annually on November 4 and last for 6 calendar days.
Accordingly, in 2026 the autumn holiday period will run:
from November 4 through November 9.
Classes will resume on November 10.
Important: the duration of the holiday is calculated in calendar days, not working days.
Under the current rules:
winter holidays — 14 calendar days starting from December 28;
spring holidays — 7 calendar days starting from March 21;
summer holidays — from the day of the final stage assessment, or, for classes where such assessments are not held, from the day following the end of the academic year, until September 1.
If the last day of a school holiday falls on an official public non-working holiday, classes resume on the next working day.
First-grade students are also granted an additional one-week holiday in February.
The duration of school holidays is established by paragraph 26 of the Regulation on General Secondary Education, approved by Resolution No. 140 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated March 15, 2017.
